THREAT FROM THE PAST
is a D.I.Y. HC / Punk / Grind label based in Germany and was founded late 2006 / early 2007. It´s my second project next to my main label CIVILISATION RECORDS (some people already might know this label + mailorder).
This new brainfart is only for old and maybe little bit more famous bands from the eighties and early nineties that have been very important and influental for me in my younger days. This means that I only support selected bands (no matter if they´ve been big sellers in their active time or not), I´ll get in touch with my “favorite” bands and so it´s no use to bother me with requests. All releases are done in cooperation with former / actual band members, songs and artwork are used with the bands´ permission.
To say it in short words: I´m not a bootlegger !!!.
The band members will get their royalities for shure, may it be money or free copies from each pressing.
No, I don´t want to make big bucks with “dead heros” or old legendary bands , this label is a real personal thing and building up my ego is as important as getting back all of my money.
THREAT FROM THE PAST is a non-trading label, so all releases are available via mailorder or on wholesale only.
Each release will be limited (but represses will be done if the demand is big enough) and special “collector” editions (coloured vinyl, special artwork and so on) will be available exclusively on this page.
I´m looking for distributors, so that my stuff is offered in as many countries as possible but I only work with pre-payment and won´t offer consignment deals or anything else. I´m not a greedy bastard but I can´t afford to wait for my bucks for ages. CIVILISATION RECORDS and THREAT FROM THE PAST are run by my person only and my financial possibilities are very limited. I really hope you´ll understand that fact.
